Tom Bridge

Tom Bridge, Co-Chair

Tom Bridge is Director of Product Management for Devices at JumpCloud. He is also the producer of the Mac Admins Podcast. He lives in Washington, D.C. with his wife Tiffany, their son Charlie, and large cat, Macro. Prior to joining JumpCloud, he was a partner at Technolutionary LLC, where he managed IT operations for more than 60 Mac-focused businesses, including the 9:30 Club, Arcadia, Navanti Group, and more.

 

Erin Merchant, Co-Chair

Erin Merchant is a human with teeth, killer fashion, and no time for BS. She works with professionals and organizations in honing IT business partnership, strategy, and operational development. Her focus is in building sustainable, healthy teams and positive IT culture as a force multiplier for business. Her tenacity comes from leadership work in the film, finance, healthcare, and tech industries. You’ll find her content in multiple mediums, her quotes quotable, and her passion for others’ success in the industry indomitable.

 

Chris Dawe, Secretary

Chris Dawe is an independent consultant specializing in Apple technologies and networking in Western Washington. Chris manages systems for a variety of businesses, speaks regularly on industry topics such as Wi-Fi networking and IT management, and helps lead the regional meetup group Apple Admins of Seattle and the Great Northwest. Originally from South Texas, he lives in Seattle with his partner Emily and the guinea pigs Benton and Mr. Simi, who are typically–but not always–extremely mellow.

 

Diego Iaconelli, Treasurer

Diego Iaconelli has a greater affinity for people than for machines. Passionate and opinionated, his work aims to develop caring individuals, using technology as a tool to enable human connection. Throughout his career in publishing, startups, and tech, he has demonstrated that anthropology and human-centered approaches have an essential place in IT. Currently at Anthropic, a Public Benefit corporation in the Bay Area, he works in IT and Security. Originally Italian, Diego currently calls the United Kingdom home, where he resides with his loving wife and children. Together they share a fondness for all things orange.

 
Gerard Massey

Gerard Massey, Member

Gerard Massey is based in the DC Metro Area and currently serves as Senior Systems Engineer at Bezos Academy, a philanthropic endeavor of Jeff Bezos that builds Montessori-inspired preschools throughout the United States. Before Bezos Academy, he served as a technology leader and Apple engineer in several sectors: fintech, the federal government, geospatial intelligence, law, public relations, and advertising. In addition, he provides consulting services nationwide, specializing in cyber security, IoT automation, and career/professional coaching. He received his bachelor’s degree in Information Communication Technology from Florida State University. Outside the office, Gerard can be found traveling with his wife, hosting trivia game shows in DC/Maryland/Virginia, creating technology content online, or riding his Boosted Board down Pennsylvania Avenue.

 

Becky Scott, Member

Becky Scott has worked in technology in one form or another across several industries. From IT at a Southern California university, to a major mobile carrier, a cable entertainment provider, a big data company, the company that built the backbone of the internet, and now a cloud directory service. They’ve all built a greater community and connections that she enjoys helping make happen. Becky’s currently Head of Community and Customer References at JumpCloud.

 

Collin Elliott, Member

Collin Elliot is an IT Engineer who loves to solve complex problems. He has spent time at multiple unicorn startups and non-profit organizations. He officially decided to make a career of IT after being moved into IT roles at several stops. He loves sports (especially baseball), LEGO, and superheroes and lives in Fort Worth, Texas with his wife, kids, and dog.

 

Rebecca Latimer, Member

Rebecca Latimer is currently the Senior IT Endpoint Engineer at Thumbtack. She lives in northern Minnesota in a very old house with her partner Joel, her daughter Ava, and a photogenic golden retriever named Scully. Prior to discovering her passion as a Mac Admin, Rebecca led lives as a line cook, goat farmer, bartender, stay-at-home-mom, QA tester, web developer, elementary school “tech lady”, and member of the Minnesota Conservation Corps. Rebecca loves over-the-top Halloween decorations, hula hooping, and Star Trek memes.

 

John Mahlman, Member

John Mahlman has been doing Mac admin and engineering work for over 15 years and has still not lost his passion (or his mind). Though he spent most of his career in education technology, he currently works for a Virginia-based government technology contractor as the Mac and Linux platform lead.  He lives in Philadelphia and is an executive member of the Greater Philadelphia Mac Admins. In his free time he enjoys traveling and visiting breweries with his partner Alessa and their dogs, Pepper and Luna.

 

Board Advisors & Alumni

Dr. Emily Kausalik-Whittle, Board Advisor and Brand Ambassador

Emily Kausalik-Whittle is the Manager of Client Platform Engineering at Jamf, founder of Austin Apple Admins, and a co-host of the Mac Admins Podcast. Before joining Jamf she managed Apple technology for The Home Depot and various startups in Austin. She holds a Ph.D. from The University of Texas at Austin in Music Theory and is based in the Austin, TX, area.

 

Rich Trouton, Board Advisor

Rich Trouton has been doing Macintosh system and server administration for over twenty years and has supported Macs in a number of different environments, including university, government, medical research, advertising and enterprise software development. His current position is at SAP, where he works with the rest of the Apple@SAP team to support SAP's Apple community. Rich has also written for Peachpit, Apress and MacTech Magazine on various ways to manage Apple devices.

 

Sabrina Coy, Board Member Alumni

Sabrina Coy is the former Chair Emeritus of the Mac Admins Foundation, and was co-founder & long-time admin of the Mac Admins Slack. Sabrina lives in Baltimore, MD with her partner and their tiny dog. She spends her days QA testing software you may have heard of, and her off-hours writing, re-watching Star Trek, or wandering aimlessly though the city.
